The Education Board has a unique role to the City Commission as an advisory board. They are the Board that shapes education policies within the City. The Board serves as a liaison between the City Commission, The School District of Palm Beach County, and the City's public and private schools. The Board also monitors Federal and State legislative actions as well as School Board activities and policies. Other duties include the promotion of public relations through special programs such as PENCIL, Principal For A Day , Lights on AfterSchool, School Showcase of the Arts, Residents Academy, and Patriotic Bike Parade.
