Site development is land preparation before the main construction begins, for commercial and residential property. Listed below are the different types of permits you may apply for when doing site work and the minimum submission requirements:
Underground Piping, Catch Basins and Drainage: Requires a Building Permit Application, and two (2) sets of complete, signed and sealed plans.
Tree, Scrub & Vegetation Removal: Requires a Tree, Scrub & Vegetation Removal Application. In some cases, a tree survey of the property showing the trees to be removed and the ones to remain, will be requested. For further information, please visit out Tree Removal Information page.
Roads: Requires a Paving Permit Application and two (2) sets of the survey and engineering plans. This type of work covers interior roads within a development or office park and parking areas.
Site Lighting: Requires Electrical Permit Application and two (2) sets of engineered drawings along with two (2) sets of:
(a) The survey showing the pole locations (b) The elevation of the proposed poles (c) The electrical plan (d) The photometric report (e) The wind load calculations
Site lighting is the light poles and fixtures installed in parking lots and common areas. |
