The Building Inspection Division offers the convenience of Walk-Through permitting for certain types of work.  This process allows the contractor or homeowner to apply for a permit and receive it the same day, usually within 1/2 hour. Remember that a contractor must have a valid City of Delray Beach Occupational License to pull any type of permit.

At the present time, the types of work listed below may utilize the Walk-Through permit process:

Re-Roofs 
Water Heater Change-Outs
A/C Change-Outs
Low Voltage Work
Electrical Service Change-Outs
Temporary Pole

The city anticipates adding more types of construction to the Walk-Through process in the future.
