Water Quality Chart

The following charts show how Delray Beach drinking water compares with Federal and State standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency. Primary standards are set for substances that are health related. Secondary standards are established for aesthetic qualities such as taste, iron, or color. The samples are tested before, during and after treatment, as well as from many points in our water system.

When reading these charts, the LOWER the test results in milligram per liter (mg/L), the HIGHER the water quality. When the levels are so low that they cannot be detected on our testing equipment, a "less than" (<) sign is used.

CODES: AL = Action Level; MCL = Maximum Contamination Level; MCLG = Maximum Contamination Level Goal; ~ = range lowest __ to __ highest; av = avg (NOTE: All results are averaged unless range is given then avg. will be placed below range ex. TTHM's ot Total Trihalomethanes) N/A = Not Applicable or not established by E.P.A.
