School Bus Safety

7 Tips for making your ride to school a safer one:
#1- When you're getting on the bus, walk in a single line. No pushing or shoving, please!

#2- Find a seat and stay put! Walking around while the bus is moving is dangerous.

#3- Keep the noise down! Talk in a quiet voice: there's no need to yell!

#4- When getting off the bus, hold onto the handrails for balance.

#5- After getting off the bus, take five giant steps to the sidewalk. If there is no sidewalk, stay on the side of the road.

#6- When getting on or off the school bus, stay out of the "danger zones" at the back and the front of the bus. These are areas where the bus driver cannot see you. If you drop something in the "danger zone," tell the bus driver.

#7- Always listen to the bus driver. He or she knows the rules to keep you safe.
