Position Classification Plan

The Classification Plan is a system of determining the value of an individual job. Its purpose is to insure that all positions or jobs are evaluated on the same basis of overall job content, responsibilities, skills and requirements.

The following are the City of Delray Beach listings of the approved positions, along with the salary range, number of authorized positions, and grade assignment for Directors, General Exempt, General Non-Exempt, Flat Rate and the three (3) represented unions.
