This Miami attraction has been open since 1938 and has assembled an outstanding collection of taxonomically arranged and well-documents tropical plants, emphasizing palm, cycads, flowering trees and shrubs, vices and fruit trees. Except for certain cultivated plants and critically endangered species, many of these plants were collected from the wild.

Cost for the trip is $50.00 per person for Delray Beach residents and $55.00 per person for non-residents and includes bus transportation, admission to the park, a 45 minutes tram tour and lunch. The bus will leave Veterans Park at 9:00 am and return at 5:00 pm. Advanced reservations and payments are required. Space is limited.

Swamp Safari

Take a rare glimpse into the Everglades' Big Cypress frontier.

The Swamp Buggy Eco-Tour and Airboat Tour will offer a first hand look at the delicate eco-system, the beauty of tropical hardwood hammocks, cypress domes and thriving wildlife of panthers, deer, alligators, crocodiles and other everglade inhabitants. This will be a fun-filled day and a great educational experience!

Cost for the trip is $55.00 per person for Delray Beach residents and $60.00 per person for non-residents. Price includes roundtrip bus transportation, admission into the park, Swamp Buggy Eco-Tour, Airboat ride and lunch. The bus will leave Veterans Park at 9:00 am and return at 5:00 pm. Spring Training
Florida Marlins vs. Boston Red Sox

Enjoy a pre-season baseball game of the Marlins versus Red Sox at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. Seats are in the shade however, dress for the weather! Concessions are available at the stadium for lunch and you will have a $10 food voucher to use while you are there.

Cost is $50.00 for Delray beach residents, and $55.00 for non-residents which includes transportation, admission to the stadium, and $10.00 food voucher.

The bus will leave Veterans Park at 11:30 am and return at 5:00 pm. Advanced reservations and payments are required. Space is limited.

For all trips, the bus will leave Veterans Park, 802 N.E. 1st Street, Delray Beach, (Atlantic Avenue & the Intracoastal). Space is limited and advanced reservations and payments are required.
