The Florida Brassworks

The Florida Brassworks under the artistic directorship of Jim Bermann is comprised of the finest brass players now living in South Florida. Their repertoire is always varied encompassing a wide range of music from rock to pop, classical to jazz and Gershwin to Sousa.  The members of The Florida Brassworks have performed with the major orchestras of Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, Mexico and South America and locally with The Palm Beach Pops, Bob Hoose Orchestra, Frank Derrick Big Band, Key West Symphony, Atlantic Classical Orchestra,  Strauss Symphony of America, Treasure Coast Opera, Florida Grand Opera,  Miami City Ballet, Palm Beach Opera, Ballet Florida, Palm Beach Symphony,  Florida Philharmonic and Maltz and Riverside Theatres in addition to work in the local recording studios and with touring shows and orchestras. Their versatility in the field of music is second to none.

Sunday, March 7th
Trombones Unincorporated

Trombones Unincorporated was inspired by a desire to perform music in the style of the big bands using only trombones (6) with a rhythm section including piano bass and drums. The blend of the trombones only band gives a very unique sound which easily adapts to any style of music. The members of the band led by Steve Sigmund and Jim Bermann have been with The Ray Charles Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Maynard Ferguson, Woody Herman and countless others.

The members of the band are also first call players in the recording studios as well as for local and traveling shows and orchestras. We dedicate today's concert to our late friend and mentor, trombonist Art Sares and our colleague and dear friend, composer, arranger, pianist, bass player and you name it, Connie Atkinson, who sadly recently passed way.

Sunday, April 25th
