
Ocean Safety Awareness Classes are scheduled upon request at your location or the Ocean Rescue Headquarters. The class covers ocean safety information about rip currents, man-o-war jellyfish, lightning / severe weather, the Delray Wreck, and other beach related topics.

Participants will learn lifesaving techniques, including first aid and use of real lifesaving equipment. A swim test is required for anyone who has not participated in the program previously. Space is limited. Cost includes t-shirt, lycra rashguard, visor, year membership to USLA (United States Lifesaving Association).
Now it's a lot easier to learn how to swim. The Drowning Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County has partnered with the City of Delray Beach to provide "Swim Bucks" certificates to those who need financial assistance. The course content and activities prepare participant to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries. Certifications include: Lifeguard Training, adult/Child/Infant CPR, Standard First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator and Oxygen Administration. Requirement for class continuous 25 yard swim and tread water for one minute. Children will learn lifesaving skills with hands on experience; proper use of rescue equipment, surveying the water & standard first aid. Please pack snack, lunch and plenty of water.

Let your campers jump off our diving boards, swim in the shallow area or let the little ones wade in our small pool. Our boys and girls locker rooms are installed with heated showers.
