The primary purpose of this program is to enlist the community's involvement with selective maintenance within a park in order to maintain a clean park environment for all to enjoy.

The Delray Divas Step Team welcomes youth from K thru 12th grades in Southern Palm Beach County. Currently there are 18 dancers on the Divas (High School) Team, 16 on the Jr. Divas (Middle School) and 22 on the Baby Divas Team (Elementary School). Practices are held at Pompey Park Recreation Center and performances and competitions are held throughout Florida.
The City of Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Children's Services Council, provides an Out of School Youth Program for Delray Beach Residents only for children ages 5 to 12, with a supervised, structured program of traditional and non-traditional recreational and sporting activities, and homework assistance from certified teachers.
The Parks and Recreation Department offers many opportunities for interesting volunteer experiences. Coaching young people, assisting with community events, and gaining valuable work experience while meeting other people who share your interests are a few examples of how volunteers play an important role.
