Historic Preservation Design Guidelines are available to owners of historic resources to identify and maintain the historical integrity of their property. The Delray Beach Historic Preservation Guidelines were originally established in 1990 and were updated in 2003. While the guidelines are intended to aid those property owners within the city's five historic districts and twenty-six individually listed properties, they are general enough for use by any property owner who maintains an older resource which is not designated or for those preservation enthusiasts who wish to learn more about the historical and architectural heritage of Delray Beach.
