Downtown Roving Patrol
The Volunteers of our Downtown Roving Patrol offered an increased police presence in our Downtown Shopping and Restaurant area. These Volunteers patrol in pairs, in an electric car for easy access in the Downtown area, as well as on foot. They are trained to look for suspicious or criminal activity, and report any sightings to the police department via cell phone. They also act as ambassadors for the police department in high traffic area, with many tourists.
