Drive for Haiti

The Event

On Sunday January 31st, Catherine Strong park, located at 1500 S.W 6th Street in Delray Beach, will host “THE DRIVE FOR HAITI”, festive event aimed at generating much needed resources that will be shipped to Haiti to continue worldwide humanitarian efforts after the 7.0 earth that has all but destroyed the already poverty stricken company. “THE DRIVE FOR HAITI” will begin at 11:00 am and end 6:00 pm. There will be live entertainment from the various groups in the Haitian-American community, with the entertainment aimed at lifting morale while contributing to the relief efforts.

What to bring

People are urged to bring the following items. Canned foods (flip open tops), bottled water. Condensed, evaporated and powdered  milk, canned pasta meals, garbage liners, peanut butter, batteries, flashlights, matches, gauze, Neosporin, gauze bandages,  Kotex, personal hygiene kits(1 gallon zip lock bags), bar soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes, diapers, toilet paper hand sanitizers and of course clothes.
