Plan Reviewer II Fire Dept.
Job Description:

Minimum Hourly: $22.80
Maximum Hourly: $34.50

The City of Delray Beach, Florida, Fire-Rescue Department is accepting applications for the position of Plans Reviewer II. This is a full-time position with complete benefit package. The applicant should have a comprehensive background in concepts of fire and life safety, as well as a basic understanding of fire suppression and detection systems. A college degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology is desirable. However, a comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. A current State of Florida Municipal Fire Safety Inspector Certificate is also required.

This position involves technical work examining building plans and applications for compliance with fire and life safety codes, and preparing documents identifying code deficiencies. In addition, fire protection system design documents are also reviewed for applicable code compliance. This is an entry-level position.
