Recreation Supervisor II - Bachelor's Degree in recreation or related field and/or two years supervisory experience. Recreation Leader II: Experience and considerable knowledge in an Out-of-School Program. Ability to organize recreational activities with children 5-12. Knowledge of leadership skills, ability to plan, organize and conduct After School activities. Recreation Leader III: Two years experience and considerable knowledge in an Out-of-School Program. Ability to organize recreational activities with children 5-12. Knowledge of leadership skills, ability to plan, organize and conduct After School activities. Recreation Leader III (Inclusion/Special Needs Training Program): High School graduate. Experience in one or more phases of Inclusion Recreation Programs. Mainstream Special Needs Children in the After School Program. Partnership with "THE ARC" which provides training in disabilities and their characteristics, ADA, Staff sensitivity training and training relating to special needs children.
Days and Hours of Work: Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The maximum salary is based on degree and part of a step program.
Police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Must engage in law enforcement patrols of the City of Delray Beach by car, on foot, motorcycle, or bicycle. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Police Sergeant and includes working rotation shifts. Must affect arrests either through the use of restraints or trained maneuvers, as well as process and transport prisoners. Must be able to prepare reports using appropriate grammar, symbols, and mathematical computations; and communicate effectively and coherently over law enforcement radio channels, with other officers and supervisors, other agencies, and attorneys. Must be able to gather information for investigative purposes; perform searches of people, buildings, and vehicles; and conduct surveillance. Must be able to perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies, and disasters when required. Must be "on-call" to work during hurricane threats and "civil" emergencies.
Maintain safety, enforcement of the pool rules and regulations. Must be able to handle emergency situations that may occur and must assist in the daily maintenance of the pool and facility, rescue swimmers when required and perform minor first aid. Full time lifeguards are required to instruct Water Exercise Programs and swimming lessons. WSI is required at time of employment or within one year of hire. Part-time employees will assist with swim lessons and WSI is preferred.
