Project scope

We are currently working on replacing the previous lift station with a brand new lift station. The new master lift station will have a triplex dry-pit master lift station and chemical/ generator building with three new 84 hp wastewater submersible pumps. New 12-foot diameter concrete wetwell and associated valve vault, piping and access hatches; new lift station control panel rack assembly consisting of a pump control panel, FPL meter, disconnect switch and automatic transfer switch.

Community Impact

The master lift station #1 is located adjacent to the basketball courts on the grounds of the 505 teen center/women’s club, at 430 SE 6th Avenue. The construction area for this project will require that a portion of the parking area of the 505 Teen Center/Women's club be utilized for the staging of construction equipment for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be fully complete in summer 2019. The alley between SE 4th Avenue and SE 6th Avenue will also be blocked for the duration of onsite work.  Unfortunately, access to the basketball court at the Teen Center Park will also have to be denied during this time to ensure public safety.  We appreciate your patience while we make these necessary upgrades to our infrastructure and apologize in advance for any inconveniences experienced during construction. As always, City staff will work to minimize any disruptions to local traffic, the community or interruptions to water and sewer services.
