Delray Beach Fire Rescue/Ocean Rescue Division continues to monitor
the health advisory issued by the Florida Dept of Health regarding a possible irritant along the shoreline that is consistent with Red Tide. The Ocean Rescue Division staff has been swimming in the ocean the past three days and there have been no reports of any airborne respiratory irritants. The surf has calmed down and there has been a wind shift to the SW resulting in no hazards. There is still some seaweed on the shoreline but none washing ashore with the SW winds.

Stand up paddle craft can only be launched at the north and south ends of the beach. Once in the water you must maintain 150 yds off the shoreline and away from swimmers.
